Student Branch
Orientation Session
Date:
Organizing unit: IEEE Sahrdaya Student Branch
Where: Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology
An interactive introduction to IEEE for first-year students, combining membership opportunities with icebreakers.
IEEE Sahrdaya welcomed first-year students to an orientation in the Multipurpose Indoor Stadium. Coordinated by Robin Francis and Krishnapriya K, the afternoon programme introduced IEEE's mission and the ways students could take part in branch activities.
Students explored technical resources, international connections and professional-networking opportunities available through the community. Icebreaking activities encouraged them to interact with one another instead of only listening to a presentation. The report records 450 first-year attendees; this is an attendance figure, not a count of new memberships.
