Soldering Practice and Arduino Basics
Date:
Organizing unit: IEEE Control Systems Society
Where: EEE Computer Lab, Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology
First-year students practised safe soldering and explored Arduino fundamentals with the Control Systems Society.
This day-long Control Systems Society session introduced first-year students to the tools and techniques behind small electronics projects. Prof. Adarsh S R led the programme, supported by seventh-semester students Muhammad Ans and Jomon Jose.
The workshop covered soldering terminology, how the process works, and safe handling before moving into Arduino basics and examples. Questions were welcomed throughout the day, allowing students to connect the introductory material with projects they could attempt next. The event report records 62 attendees.
