Food Rescue • India Pilot
FoodLoop
A mobile-first Flutter pilot for India that helps kitchens share edible surplus, lets nearby community members reserve portions for free, and supports pickup handover. The screenshots show fictional local-demo data, not live food listings or confirmed pickups.

Free surplus, coordinated locally
FoodLoop is a mobile-first pilot for redistributing edible surplus in India. Kitchens can share available portions, nearby community members can reserve what they need for free, and both sides can coordinate the collection and handover.
Clear details for a safer handoff
Listings bring together collection windows, use-by times, storage notes, and allergen information. Public map pins are approximate; exact collection details are available only after an active reservation. The pilot does not certify food safety, so kitchens still need to follow applicable handling requirements.
An advisory kitchen estimate
The kitchen workspace compares a nearest-neighbor surplus estimate with a same-meal median baseline after at least five services with confirmed untouched surplus. This is an early advisory method, not a back-tested production model. It never certifies food or publishes a forecast automatically.
A pilot, not live sample inventory
The screenshots show fictional local-demo listings, kitchens, locations, and service records. They are included to explain the product flow and must not be used to arrange a real pickup. Kitchen publishing in the connected pilot is gated behind coordinator verification.
